New Criteria when selling your house?

I came across a news article today that really makes you realise just how much we rely on the internet. Rightmove the estate agents are looking to include the broadband speeds in adverts for houses they are selling. It made me realise just how much everyone now relies on the internet. So when buying your next home is knowing the speed a good or bad thing?

I personally know what its like to be without internet after my ISP made a monumental mistake and using the local wifi spots made me realise just how much I rely on my reasonably fast broadband. Whether its doing simple things like paying bills or the weekly shop its frustrating on a slow connection. On the downside would knowing the speed put someone off buying a house in the middle of the country with limited internet access?

I had this conversation with my other half recently. If I was run over by a bus, what two things would he need…? The life insurance policy and the password book, where all usernames etc is kept (under lock and key) for everything from banking, to the Sky account, food shopping, our 4yr old's password for the virtual learning portal at school. I'd be lost without the internet and my life would be much more expensive without it (and my temper much shorter!).

A slow connection when I'm used to superfast would have me tearing my hair out!
